Banksy

As you all probably know, I’m obsessed with painting art on my nails. I recently realized that I have yet to do some Banksy inspired nails, so I sat down for a good couple hours and did these nails. I’ve seen tons of Banksy nail art with this design, so I tried to choose some of his other work that I haven’t seen on nails befpre. Hope you guys like them!

Loose Glitter Nails

Need a last minute look for New Years? Look no further! Loose glitter nails are a perfect look for a night out and super easy to do. All you need is glitter (which you can find in any craft store or online) and nail polish.

Also, the shirt I wore in the video can be found here!

Have a great New Years!

Loose Glitter Gradients

I seriously cannot stop staring at my nails! Gradients are SO popular lately and instead of doing a color and layering glitter polish over it, I thought I should take it to the next level and put glitter everywhere. And I mean everywhere…this gets a bit messy so my desk and floor are now glitter-y. This look is perfect for New Years, hopefully I can keep it on until then!

The purple glitter came in a Julep Maven box a month or two ago. Unfortunately they don’t sell this glitter color on its own, but you can purchase the the same glitter in different colors here. As for the gold, I got it at Michael’s craft store – which is probably the best place to go if you want the most bang for your buck.

This design is actually pretty easy to do, I’ll try my hardest to make a video tutorial for you guys this weekend :)

Peacock inspired Nails

As you guys know, I absolutely love doing nails inspired by fashion. A friend and I went to Urban Outfitters this past week and I spotted this peacock shirt and absolutely had to have it. Later on, I realized it would translate really nicely onto my nails!

What I Used:
-Essie Licorice
-Essie Good as Gold
-OPI Dating a Royal (under the glitter)
-Royal Blue Glitter (from Julep)

To apply the glitter, I put on a blue nail polish and before it dried just dipped my finger in the glitter. A problem I noticed is that it “eats” the top coat (as my fellow nail art bloggers would say). Which basically means that when you apply top coat it doesn’t dry to that smooth and shiny finish you usually get – it dries bumpy. I applied 2 coats of top coat and it turned out fine!

REVIEW: China Glaze Tranzitions

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I received this China Glaze Tranzitions collection in the mail yesterday and I couldn’t wait to try it out. Each color applies completely opaque in only one coat, and the colors change instantly. I used Seche Vite top coat to get the colors to change, but I may try out different top coats to see which works best. In the pictures, my pinky and thumb are the polish without any top coat, my middle finger has top coat over it, and my index and ring fingers have a design painted on them with top coat. Click the “more” button below to see pictures of each color!

Interview and Tutorial with Michelle from takeaim.nu

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle from the blog takeaim.nu! She blogs about fashion (and posts some awesome fashion pictures) and about people who TAKE AIM and set goals for themselves. We had so much fun getting to know each other and I also painted her nails with some Christmas designs. Further on down this post you can find a tutorial of how I did this look!

Here you can see her blog post, including a Q&A with myself. I’m so excited to share this video, it was filmed beautifully and hopefully you’ll learn some tips and tricks to do a last minute Christmas design!

Video by Jordan Lovelis and the music by Jessica Dobson

You can find Michelle on her website, instagram, and pinterest.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I’ll be back shortly with some fun New Years designs!

Christmas Wreath and Holly

Merry (almost) Christmas! Just a couple days left, and I’ve had so much fun doing Christmas manis.

On my middle finger, I did a different take on the “border nail” trend. I used a dotting tool dipped in different shades of green to get the effect – so easy!! As for the holly, I used a dotting tool for the red part, and handpainted the rest. Here’s what I used!

What I Used:
-OPI Goldeneye
-Essie Mojito Madness
-OPI Jade is the New Black
-Julep Hoch
-Seche Vite top coat

Have you done any last minute Christmas manis this weekend? Share them with me through email, Facebook, twitter, or tag me on instagram…I’d love to see!
